The Château from top to bottom!

Did you know that at a height of 50 metres the Donjon de Vincennes (keep) is the tallest medieval building in Europe? The Château opens its doors to history buffs and organises tours to explore the “upper floors of the Keep” or the “Sainte-Chapelle attic”. You can even venture into the “brave men’s tomb” below the King’s tower!If you’re into military history, several times a year the library of the Service Historique de la Défense hosts one-off exhibitions of rare works and valuable manuscripts.

The Hôtel de Ville (town hall) from every angle… 

An indented neo-Renaissance facade, geometrical Art Deco features… The wonderful architecture of this listed historical monument invites visitors to explore it both inside and out. Don’t miss the attic tour or the one on the theme of “painted decorations”.

Saint-Louis church and the art of mesmerising 

As a symbol of the rebirth of religious art in the early 20th century, the church of Saint Louis features some amazing decorative features. Immerse yourself in the story behind the frescoes painted by Maurice Denis and Henri Marret and admire Maurice Dhomme’s magnificent ceramics. Enough to make you starry-eyed!
