Take a flowery plunge
Du Breuil landscaping school concentrates all of nature’s marvels into these dreamlike gardens that really take your mind off things! Wander along the majestic paths, enjoy the sweet scent of roses and leave the main walkway to get lost in this treasure trove of plants and flowers. To relish this beautiful display to the full, you’ll find wooden double deckchairs at your disposal across the park!
Feeling highly strung?
Well, holidays are meant for pampering too! Far from the noisy city, the spa area of the Dôme swimming pool in Vincennes is the ultimate spot to relax. Whirlpool bath heated to 35°C, massage jets, sauna, hammam and treatment booths… You’ll want to try them all! Unless you’re more tempted by a skin-stretching Thaï massage with acupressure at the Sirilanna. Or you can treat your feet to a reflexology session at the Sultane de Saba… Wellbeing can really give you a headache!
Make the most of this verdant setting to breathe deeply and… let go! After a session of mindful meditation or learning to make a Tibetan bowl sing at the Parc Floral’s Espace City’zen, why not head for the woods to get some fresh air among the vestiges of the 1907 colonial exhibition at the Tropical Agronomy Garden? Another great walk to recharge your batteries: the Arboretum where you’ll find no less than 2,000 specimens. And if you’re a really keen walker, you can pick up the GR14 hiking trail at the Porte Dorée (gate) and follow it along the Gravelle stream to the Hippodrome (racetrack). A welcome breath of fresh air any time of year!
A more energetic way to unwind!
Fancy a workout? Then take the plunge at the Dôme and work those leg and tummy muscles in a gentle aquafitness, aquabike or bodypalm session! Dopamine addicts are more likely to jog to the Bois de Vincennes to test the three fitness trails dotted with workout equipment. It’s just a hop, skip and jump away!
